WAVES volume 2 / Sappow

I made "WAVES volume 2" after Ambient work "WAVES". It is also an Ambient work. "WAVES volume 2" is a sequel to "WAVES". However, it is also an independent work that is completed by itself. All 8 songs.

As you can see from the tracklist, the numbering started from 006, and I was conscious of its position as a sequel. I wanted to express every part I couldn't express in "WAVES", and I was pursuing it while creating. This time, while following the basic sound of "WAVES", I tried to make full use of guitars, other musical instruments, and field recording in terms of musical instruments. In other words, I aimed to create a deeper sound field while using more space. I was able to recognize that the guitar had a unique sound and presence, and I was able to understand the fun of spatial expression for myself, and it was a very fun production. "WAVES" was very conceptual, but I think that "WAVES volume 2" could be created by concentrating on the sound itself. Even though I used it sparingly, the guitar's presence was amazing.

Ambient作品"WAVES"に続き"WAVES volume2"を製作しました。同じくAmbient作品です。"WAVES volume2"は"WAVES"の続編です。でも、単体で完結する独立した作品でもあります。全8曲。

曲名を見ても分かる通りナンバリングが006から始まっており、続編との位置づけを意識しました。"WAVES"で表現できなかった部分を余すところなく表現したいと思い、追求していきながら制作を進めた感じです。今回、基本的なサウンドは"WAVES"を踏襲しつつも、楽器面ではギターやその他の楽器、フィールドレコーディングを駆使してみました。つまり、より空間を使いながら深化した音場感を目指しました。ギターは独特な響きや存在感があることが認識できましたし、空間表現の面白さを自分なりに理解することができてとても楽しい制作でした。"WAVES"はとてもコンセプチュアルなものを意識していましたが、この"WAVES volume2"は音そのものに集中しながら作ることができたと思っています。特に控えめに使っているにもかかわらずギターの存在感には驚くべきものがありました。

今回も蛇足的自己全曲解説文を書きました。noteにて公開いたします。
